Abstract
A link attachmentfor use with a devicefor effecting an intermittent turning forcewhich oscillates in a forward and a backward directionandfor tightening or loosening a fastener including: —a link housing; a link drive inputoperatively connectable with device; a link drive leveroperatively connected with link drive input; a link drive plateoperatively connected to link drive leverat a pivot pointby a link drive pin; a link ratcheting mechanismoperatively connected to link drive leverby a drive pawl; a link attachment drive outputoperatively connected with link ratcheting mechanismand operatively connectable with the fastener; and link attachmentbeing operatively connectable to deviceto provide intermittent turning forceto turn the fastener. Advantageously link attachment: is operatively connectable to deviceeither by itself or via a drive extension; limits the need for movable components in device; engages inaccessible fasteners; and magnifies and transfers intermittent turning forceto the fastener.
