Abstract
Disclosed herein is a composition containing a novel strainKR-001 strain or a culture broth thereof as an active ingredient for weed control. More particularly, theKR-001 strain of the present invention, culture broth thereof, or culture fraction shows an excellent weed-killing ability on grass weeds, broadleaf weeds, and hard-to-control weeds, and a medium composition containing a carbon source and a nitrogen source in an optimal condition may significantly increase yield of an active material produced by the strain with low cost. Therefore, the strain can be usefully employed to a herbicide composition for weed control and a method for weed control.
