Abstract
A liquid crystal display panel includes a first substrate including a pixel electrode, a second substrate a second substrate including a common electrode and disposed opposite to the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate, where the liquid crystal layer includes liquid crystal molecules having an elastic coefficient of bend phase (K) and an elastic coefficient of splay phase (K), and a ratio of the elastic coefficient of bend phase (K) to the elastic coefficient of splay phase (K) of the liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal layer is in a range of about 0.96 to about 1.25.
