Abstract

A switchable socket assembly () permits a power source to be changed. The switchable socket assembly () includes a switch guide () that communicates with a linear array of terminal fittings that include an output terminal fitting () and first and second input terminal fittings () on opposite respective sides of the output terminal fitting (). A switch () is slidable in the switch guide () and can be moved between first and second positions. In the first position, the switch () permits a fuse () to connect to the output terminal fitting () and the first input terminal fitting (). In the second position, the switch () permits the fuse () to connect to the output terminal fitting () and the second input terminal fitting ().
