Abstract

The invention relates to a shaft assembly (A) of an exhaust-gas turbocharger () having a shaft (), having a turbine wheel () which can be connected to one end of the shaft () to form a rotor, having a compressor wheel () which can be connected to the other end of the shaft (), having a sealing sleeve () which can be located on the shaft () on that side of the compressor wheel () which faces toward the turbine wheel (), having a shaft nut () which can be screwed by means of an internal thread () onto a free end region () of the shaft () to fix the compressor wheel (), wherein the shaft nut (), in a portion () adjacent to the compressor wheel (), has a turned recess () which adjoins the internal thread () and which has an inner diameter (D) greater than the internal thread diameter (D).
