Abstract
The invention provides a method for effecting a photocatalytic or photoelectrocatalytic reaction of a reactant comprising contacting a metallic material having an electrical conductivity of 10to 10S/m with the reactant and exposing the metallic material and the reactant to visible light so as to catalyze the reaction of the reactant.
