Abstract

A device and a method for machining workpieces () by means of a laser beam. Said device has a delivery means () for delivering the workpieces () to a first machining position () and a machining means () which has at least one machining head () for machining of a workpiece () delivered to the first machining position (). The delivery means () is a gripping robot with a gripping device (). At least one clamping means () is disposed in order to accommodate a workpiece () delivered by the delivery means (), wherein respective machining position is defined by each clamping means (). The machining head () can be delivered to each machining position for machining of the workpieces ().
