Each of the cavities includes a first set of contact surfaces for holding the at least one container, and each of the cavities includes a second set of contact surfaces for holding the at least one container when provided with a cap. The first set of contact surfaces and the second set of contact surfaces are arranged such that the at least one capped container is held in the cavity in a reverse orientation with respect to the at least one container when provided without a cap. A packaging for medial containers and a method for packaging medical containers are also provided herein.
