Abstract

A display apparatus and a control method thereof for displaying an operational state of a user input are provided. The display apparatus includes: an image processor configured to process an image signal; a display configured to display an image thereon based on the processed image signal; a user input configured to receive a user's input; and a controller configured in response to the user's input being received, control the display to display thereon a cursor moved in correspondence with a location of the user's input as an icon showing an operational state of the user's input. Thus, a user may intuitively recognize the operational state of the user's input and may obtain prompt feedback on the input result without suspending his/her interaction.
