Abstract
An apparatus for attaching to an electronic device that includes an electrical connector, a back side, a display arranged on a side opposite to the back side, and lateral sides connecting the back side and the side opposite to the back side includes a first body comprising a back plane arranged to cover at least a part of the backside of the electronic device when attached, an electrical connector arranged to mate the electrical connector of the electronic device when attached, a slot for insertion of a smartcard arranged at the back plane part, the slot comprising electrical contacts for connecting to the smartcard when inserted, and circuitry connected to the electrical connector and the electrical contacts.
