A refractory metal compound agglomerate powder having a product of a BET surface area in m/g and a sliding coefficient of η of 0.33 to 0.95, wherein the refractory metal compound agglomerate powder is selected from niobium agglomerate powder, niobium suboxide agglomerate powder, and tantalum agglomerate powder.
