Abstract
The invention describes a method of controlling a system () comprising one or more components (C, C, . . . , C), which method comprises the steps of aiming a pointing device () comprising a camera () in the direction of one or more of the components (C, C, . . . , C), generating image data () of a target area A( ) aimed at by the pointing device (), encompassing at least part of one or more of the components (C, C, . . . , Cn), and analyzing the image data () to determine position information (P) pertaining to the position of the user () relative to one or more of the components (C, C, . . . , C) at which the pointing device () is being aimed and/or to relative positions of the components. The system () is subsequently controlled according to the position information (P). Furthermore, the invention describes a corresponding control system (), a home entertainment system, and a lighting system. The invention further describes a method of acquiring dimensional data (D) for use in the image data analysis.
