Abstract
A connection devicefor connecting a batteryto an electric or hybrid motor vehicle, comprising at least one inputcapable of being connected to a terminal of the battery and an outputcapable of being connected to a first terminal of an electrical circuit of the vehicle. The devicealso comprises an electrical-circuit cutoff devicemounted in series between the inputand the outputof the connection device. The cutoff devicecomprises a pyrotechnic igniter connected to control terminals, the electrical opening of the cutoff devicebeing controlled by an electrical control signal applied to the said control terminals.
