Abstract

A motor vehicle battery having at least one battery module () with battery cells () positioned one behind the other and bounded by first walls () at opposite ends of the battery module () and by second walls () at opposite longitudinal sides of the battery module (). Bottom ends of the battery cells () bearing against a cooling plate (). The battery cells () of the battery module () are pressed together between the first walls (). A dummy cell () is positioned between two adjacent battery cells () of the battery module (). A clamping bolt () extends through the dummy cell and presses the battery cells () of the battery module () against the cooling plate () in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.
