Abstract
Aregulatory region is shown, which provides improved seed preferred, and particularly pericarp preferred expression in plants. Methods of use are also shown in preferentially expressing a heterologous protein to the pericarp tissue of a plant. The sequence is particularly useful in expression of heterologous proteins to the pericarp of monocotyledonous plants, particularly cereals, and maize.
