Abstract

A pneumatic brake valve unit for a rail vehicle, includes: a main device () that selectively controls a communication path between a brake pipe connector () and either an atmospheric exhaust line () or an auxiliary reservoir connector (), such that the pressure at the brake pipe connector () is k times the difference between the pressure at a control reservoir connector () and the pressure at a main brake pipe connector (), k being a proportionality factor; a cut-off valve () that controls a communication path between the main brake pipe connector () and the control reservoir connector (); an accelerator device () that controls a communication path between the main brake pipe connector () and an air discharge member (); and a driving pilot () which is common to both the valve () and the accelerator device () and which controls their respective communication paths.
