Abstract
A disparity calculating deviceobtains a base image from a first cameraand a reference image from a second camera. An image dividing unitdivides each of the base image and reference image into multiple regions in accordance with dividing conditions set by a condition setting unit. A correction amount determiningcalculates image shift amount for each of the divided regions, and determines correction amount based on the images shift amount thereof. A disparity calculating unitperforms correction of the image on each region of divided base images and divided reference images obtained from the image dividing unitbased on correction amount determined by the correction amount determining unitto obtain disparity based on the images after correction.
