Abstract
A method and a computer system for providing a federated wide area motion imagery (WAMI) collection service are provided. The method includes issuing a request to retrieve WAMI collection metadata from a first WAMI collection service in one or more collection services, the one or more WAMI collection services providing WAMI collection metadata; receiving the WAMI collection metadata from the first WAMI collection service; and storing the WAMI collection metadata from the first WAMI collection service in a local cache of the computer system.
