Abstract

An electric bicycle is provided that can increase the diameter of the joining section between a crankshaft and a crank arm, suppress an increase in manufacturing cost, and minimize a size increase of a hanger with a torque sensor disposed in the hanger. A crankshaftis divided into a crankshaft bodyA on the periphery of which a torque sensoris disposed, and an auxiliary crankshaftB connected to one side of the crankshaft bodyA. A diameter Dof the joining section between the auxiliary crankshaftB and a crank armB and a diameter Dof the joining section between the crankshaft bodyA and a crank armA are larger than a diameter Dof the connecting section between the crankshaft bodyA and the auxiliary crankshaftB.
