Abstract
An ink jet recording apparatus according to the invention includes an ink, and a discharge head that discharges the ink, in which the discharge head includes a plurality of pressure chambers respectively communicating with a plurality of nozzle holes formed in a nozzle plate, a vibration plate changing the capacity of each of the plurality of pressure chambers, and an ink supply chamber for supplying the ink to the plurality of pressure chambers, the capacity of the pressure chamber is 10.0×10μmor less, the density in which the plurality of nozzle holes are arranged in the nozzle plate is 200 dpi or more, the ink includes a pigment, water, an organic solvent, and a resin component, a ratio (organic solvent/water) of a mass of the organic solvent to a mass of the water in the ink is 0.2 to 0.5, and a solid content of the resin component in the ink is 1.5 mass % or more.
