Abstract
The present invention is directed to an information processing apparatus in which a waiting time for waiting image data in the information processing apparatus can be adjusted, as much as possible, to a time period during which the image data read by the image reading apparatus is acquired by the information processing apparatus through a file sharing system. When the apparatus determines that an image reading setting which matches a setting registration name set to the PC by a user according to a registration operation of the image reading setting is applied, the PC changes the sharing condition of the shared file folder to an open state. Then, when the apparatus determines that the image reading setting is no longer applied or the image is not currently read, the PC changes the sharing condition of the shared file folder to a private state.
