Abstract
A liquid crystal composition containing an optically active compound represented by the following formula (1) and a liquid crystal compound shows a cholesteric liquid crystal phase having an excellent alignment state: Kand Krepresent benzene, cyclohexane or cyclohexene; Xto Xrepresent hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkynyl, alkenyl or alkyloxy.
