Abstract

A main landing gear baywhich is formed inward of a fuselageof an aircraftfrom an opening portion provided in a surface of the fuselageso as to store a main landing gearof the aircraft, the main landing gear bayincluding inclined regionsandthat are continuous from a rim of the opening portion to the fuselagesurface in an airframe axis direction X of the aircraft, wherein the inclined regionsandare formed so as to have a larger depth toward the rim of the opening portion. Since the inclined regionsandare formed so as to have a larger depth toward the rim of the opening portion, the aerodynamic drag acting on the main landing gear bay can be reduced. Accordingly, the fuel consumption of the aircraft can be improved.
