Abstract

A method of synthesizing tungsten carbide nanorods, the method comprising: mixing tungsten oxide (WO) nanorods with a carbon source to obtain precursors; and calcining the precursors to obtain tungsten carbide nanorods, without use of any catalyst. A catalyst of metal nanostructures supported on tungsten carbide nanorods.
