Abstract
A pedal type bin assembly () comprising a base () configured for accommodating a bin (), a lid-bearing post () extending upright at a rear edge of the base and configured for supporting at a top end () thereof a pivotable lid (), and a lifting mechanism (). The lifting mechanism comprises a manipulating element () positioned at a front edge of the base and a leverage array () articulated to the manipulating element, for manipulating the lid between an open and a closed position upon respective operation of the manipulating element.
