Benzophenone derivatives of formula (I) in which X is O, S or NR, and Ris H or linear or branched C-Calkyl; Ris H or methyl, Ris H, halogen, linear or branched C-Calkoxy, linear or branched C-Calkyl, linear or branched C-Calkylthio or a group NRR, wherein Rand Rare independently linear or branched C-Calkyl, can be used as copolymerizable photoinitiators and photocrosslinkers.
