Abstract
An iron type golf club head that comprises a face part, a sole part, a hosel part, and a cavity part. A lower part of an inner surface of the cavity part on a face surface side is a forward recess part that is recessed toward a face surface, and following formulas are satisfied:θ≦θand θ≦θwherein an intersectional angle that is formed between the lower part of the inner surface of the cavity part on the face surface side and the face surface is marked with θ, an intersectional angle that is formed between a rear surface of the cavity part and the face surface is marked with θ, and an intersectional angle that is formed between a bottom surface of the cavity part and the face surface is marked with θ.
