Abstract
The invention relates to a method for controlling a surgical microscope (), wherein the position of the optical system () of the microscope () is tracked within an operating space by a position tracking system (), wherein the optical system carrier () can be moved by means of a motorized carrier moving system (). The line of sight of the optical system () is automatically set by moving the optical system carrier () and is aligned with a predefined direction in said operating space.
