Abstract
A plasma generatorincludes a first electrodeprovided in a gas storage section; and a second electrodeseparated from the first electrodeand provided in a manner such that at least the portion coupled with the first electrodeis in contact with a liquidin a liquid storage section. Electric discharge is caused between the first electrodeand the second electrodeso as to produce plasma in a gas region in the liquidin the liquid storage section and produce hydroxyl radical from water contained in the liquidand oxygen contained in the gas. A voltage controllercontrols a voltage applied by a plasma power sourcedepending on conditions.
