Abstract
The present invention relates to a hybrid steel-textile reinforcement ply for tires comprising at least one continuous steel cord (), and at least one textile yarn (), wherein the continuous steel cord () is weft inserted in the textile yarn () essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the weft direction and wherein the steel cord () in the reinforcement ply () has continuous edges () as well as to a method for producing such a reinforcement ply.
