Abstract

A system for estimating apparatus position based on different types of positioning information. In at least one example implementation, an apparatus may sense wireless signals (), and if the wireless signals are determined to comprise angular data meeting a certain criteria (), the position of the apparatus may be estimated based on the angular data (). Otherwise, if the apparatus determines that the wireless signals comprise at least one of angular data not meeting the certain criteria () or proximity data (), the position of the apparatus may be estimated based on proximity data derived from the sensed wireless signals ().
