Abstract
A multi-stage transmission having eight forward and one reverse gear includes planetary gearsets, shafts and shift elements. The sun gear of gearset (P) couples shaft (), which can couple, via brake (), the housing and couples the ring gear of gearset (P). The input shaft couples the carrier of gearset (P) and can couple, via clutch (), shaft (), which couples the ring and sun gears of respective gearsets (PP). The ring gear of gearset (P) couples shaft () and the sun gear of gearset (P). Shaft () couples the carrier and sun gear of respective gearsets (P, P). Shaft () couples the carrier of gearset (P) and can couple, via brake (), the housing. The input shaft couples the ring gear of gearset (P) and, via clutch (), couples shaft (), which couples the carrier of gearset (P). Clutch () engages to block gearset (P).
