The invention relates to bacterial lipopolysaccharide and its components, especially native and chemically modified polysaccharides isolated fromlipopolysaccharides, as well as conjugates of these polysaccharides with carriers and methods for their preparation and methods to use of these substances as ligands for human ficolin-3.
