Abstract
The invention relates to a device, particularly for a tailgate () of a vehicle, comprising a camera unit () which is used to capture images of the outer region () of a vehicle, and a drive () by means of which the camera unit () can be transferred between a rest mode () and an operational mode (), the camera unit () being protected from the outer region () by means of a cover element () when in the rest mode (), an image being able to be captured by means of the camera unit () when in the operational mode (), a control unit () being provided which is used to control a part of the vehicle, a carrier () being provided in which the camera unit () is arranged and which simultaneously acts as a housing for said camera unit (), and the carrier () having such mounting interfaces () that the drive () and the control unit () are held on the carrier () in a reliable manner to form a common installation assembly which can be fixed to the vehicle.
