Abstract

A method for protecting personal information in a home network is provided, in which a controlled device receives a subscribe request for a service of the controlled device, from a control point, and accepts the subscribe request. The controlled device receives information about the control point from the control point, and performs event delivery to the control point according to a policy that is set based on the information about the control point, when an event occurs in the controlled device.
