Abstract
The present invention relates to a matrix material for a carbon fiber-reinforced composite. The matrix material for the carbon fiber composite contains a matrix resin as a resin component. The matrix resin contains at least a first epoxy resin containing a polyfunctional glycidylamine-type epoxy resin having four epoxy groups in one molecule. The matrix resin may further contain at least one of a p-aminophenol-type epoxy resin having three epoxy groups in one molecule, and a tetramethylbiphenol-type solid epoxy resin having two epoxy groups in one molecule. The matrix resin has an average epoxy equivalency of 99 to 163.
