Abstract

A vertical filling and packaging machine of the present invention includes tension devices () that are disposed near positions of ironing rollers () and that pull both sides of cylindrical film () laterally outward. Tension devices () pull both sides of cylindrical film () laterally outward to flatten a portion of cylindrical film () before the pair of ironing rollers () sandwiches the portion of cylindrical film (), wherein the content has been injected into the cylindrical film (). As a result, when lateral seal part () is formed on cylindrical film () by lateral seal device (), lateral seal part () is not easily wrinkled.
