A plurality of methods-that collectively reduces touch swipe latency within a user interface () of an electronic deviceincludes: activatinga predictive touch utility; and in response to detectinga sliding movement of an external manipulatorfrom a set of prior positions on a touchpanelto a current position on the surface: dynamically computinga predicted next positionbased on the set of prior positions and the current position, before the external manipulatorarrives at an end positionwhile continuously touching the surface; and triggeringadvancement ofthe user interfaceto a predicted next frame corresponding to the predicted next position.
