Abstract
Provided is a method for producing refined glycerin alkyl ether at a high recovery rate by removing glycerin from a mixture containing glycerin and glycerin alkyl ether. A method for producing refined glycerin alkyl ether comprising the following steps (1) and (2): step (1): bringing a mixture containing glycerin and glycerin alkyl ether into contact with a cation exchange resin; step (2): bringing the cation exchange resin into contact with a solvent having an SP value of from 20.5 to 34 (MPa)to obtain an eluate.
