Abstract

An ignition torch that can easily be inspected regardless of the state inside a gasification furnace. The ignition torch () extends from an outside of a gasification furnace () to an inside of the gasification furnace () so as to receive feed of fuel and combustion air from one end positioned outside of the gasification furnace () and to feed flames to the other end positioned in the inside of the gasification furnace (). An opening/closing valve () is provided downstream in a fuel flow direction from an ignition section () provided at the outside of the gasification furnace (). A flame-holding section () is provided on the other end of the ignition torch (). Supporting fuel is supplied to the flame-holding section ().
