Abstract

A bearing ring () exhibiting an inner () and an outer () periphery, also exhibiting a raceway () for rolling elements on one of said peripheries, the bearing ring exhibiting a gear structure (--) on one of said peripheries, as well as exhibiting at least one welding joint (). The welding joint has been formed by flash butt welding. Preferably, the gear structure (--) and/or the raceway () have been formed by rolling, machining or a combination thereof.
