Abstract

The method of controlling a polyphase rotating electric machine, the machine operating as a generator and being linked to an electrical network (), is of the type of those consisting in short-circuiting at least one phase winding in the event of load shedding. A short-circuit command (SAND) is generated for the phase winding when a first measurement voltage V of a voltage B+ of the network exceeds a first predetermined threshold value V1 and when a phase current (IΦ) in the phase winding vanishes and changes direction. The first measurement voltage V may be obtained by filtering the voltage B+ of the network with a predetermined time constant TF.
