Abstract

Provided is a method for producing an aromatic amide derivative represented by Formula (4), the method including a process in which an aromatic amide derivative represented by Formula (1) and a haloalkyl compound represented by Formula (3) are reacted with each other in the presence of a base and a metal or metal salt. In the formulae, each of X and Y represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or the like. A represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a group represented by Formula (2), or the like. Each of Gand Grepresents an oxygen atom or the like. Qrepresents a phenyl group or the like. Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or the like. Zrepresents a haloalkyl group or the like. Xa represents an iodine atom or the like. m represents a number of from 1 to 4, n1 represents a number from 1 to 5, and n2 represents a number of from 1 to 4.
