A burette () to receive liquid from an intravenous supply () to deliver liquid to a patient via a tube (). The burette () includes a hollow body () that is generally cylindrical configuration and that contains a float valve (). Liquid level in the chamber () of the body () regulates liquid level within the chamber () by engaging an inlet passage () or an outlet tube ().
