Abstract
An apparatus, according to one embodiment, includes a controller having a write driver, and a comparator circuit configured to detect a high resistance condition by comparing a first output voltage of the write driver with a second output voltage of the comparator circuit. A high resistance condition is detected in response to determining that the second output voltage of the comparator circuit is greater than the first output voltage of the write driver.
