Abstract
A power plant () having a main gearbox (), a turbine engine (), and a heat exchanger (), the main gearbox () including a substantially vertical rotor mast (). The main gearbox () comprises at least a rotary speed reduction stage arranged in a flat casing (), and a pylon (). The turbine engine () has an engine casing () with an outlet shaft projecting from said engine casing () and penetrating into said flat casing (), said outlet shaft () being substantially parallel to the rotor mast (), said engine casing () being offset longitudinally from the pylon () and not being in contact with the pylon (). The heat exchanger () extends longitudinally behind said turbine engine (), while, on the contrary, said rotor mast () is situated longitudinally in front of said turbine engine ().
