Abstract

A headlamp () includes a semiconductor laser (); a light-emitting element () that emits light in response to laser light emitted from the semiconductor laser (); a heat-conducting member () that receives heat generated by the light-emitting element () through a light-emitting-element facing surface (); and a gap layer () that is disposed between the light-emitting element () and the light-emitting-element facing surface () and that conducts the heat generated by the light-emitting element () to the light-emitting-element facing surface (). The gap layer () contains at least an inorganic amorphous material.
