Abstract

In a fastener (), a pin () is pressed into a grommet (), so that a guide portion () formed in an end side of the pin () contacts with a guided portion () of the grommet (), and a leg piece () of a leg portion () of the grommet bends and is expanded. Then, the guided portion () of the leg piece () in the leg portion () of the grommet () is engaged with an upper end edge (A) of the guide portion () of the pin (). Also, the guide portion () of the pin () is a curved surface having a tangent angle (θ) changing relative to a shaft line (B) at a contact point (P) with the guided portion () from an outer circumferential portion of an end (A) of the pin () toward an upper end edge (A), and an insertion force (S) into the grommet () of the pin () at each contact point (P) is held approximately constant.
