Abstract
An ink composition for ink jet textile printing contains a reactive dye and water-soluble organic solvents including solvent A and at least one solvent B. Solvent A has a solubility of 10 g or more in 100 g of water at 20° C. and has no hydroxy group. Solvent B has a hydroxy group in the molecule thereof and has an IOB value of 2.9 or more and a Zvalue expressed by the following equation (1) of 18 or less. The total content Zof solvent A and solvents B in the ink composition is 3.8% by mass or more.
