Abstract
A vehicle state detecting deviceincludes a sensor section (acceleration sensor) for detecting the behavior of a vehicle; an integration processing section (integrating circuit) for generating an output signal indicating a state of the vehicle by integrating physical quantity based on the sensor output; and a diagnostic sectionfor supplying the sensor section with a self-driving signal, and for carrying out self-diagnosis of the sensor section by comparing the output signal from the integration processing section with upper and lower permissible limits preset for the output signal.
